Most of the baby sleeping bags and sleepsacks in United States market are made of one layer of fleece fabric. The problem with that is fleece is too warm for summer, yet not warm enough for winter. SilkSac solves that problem by having a removal silk batting.
2. Make of 100% natural material
Another difference is that fleece is 100% polyester, a non natural man made material, while SilkSac is make of 100% cotton with 100% silk floss filling, which is 100% natural and hypoallergenic.
3. Breathable Material
While fleece is not a breathable material, the layering system of the silk batting and its cotton cover allow air to circulate, releasing excess heat though its silk floss layers, and therefore regulates babies body temperature.
